Lookup Theatre – Circus in Schools
In this program, Lookup Theatre brings circus artists into schools for a free 30-hour circus program. At the end of the program, youth perform a show in front of their school.
• Over 2000 participants, 50 different classrooms and over 15 different schools throughout Grey and Bruce County
• Over 20 shows created and performed
• Out of 400 surveys: “I had fun in the program” receive 4.5 out 5
The current quantitative data presents positive evidence about the Circus in School program. This program helped youth gain many skills, either physical, personal (such as perseverance and self-confidence), and interpersonal (such as collaboration, trust, and teamwork). Additionally, it offered a safe space to connect with other youth from the same school and community, contributing to positive development.
